This material nature is working under My direction, O son of Kunti, and it is producing all moving and unmoving beings. By its rule this manifestation is created and annihilated again and again.

Divine Mother, Durga Devi is also called the Cosmic Mother as she is present everywhere in this cosmos. She is maintaining & sustaining all this creation just like a mother takes care of her children. In general we call it Nature(Mayadevi) and she is the external energy of Lord krishna.
